Tenant Compliance with Florida Rental Laws
In addition to paying rent, Florida Statutes (Section 83.51) require Tenants to comply with property regulations, restrictions, covenants and unit maintenance to include (but not limited to):
- Ensuring the rental property is clean, safe and sanitary
- Reporting any plumbing, structural, electrical or HVAC problems to the landlord
- Not removing anything from the rental unit that belongs to the owner
- Proper use of the rental property's common areas and parking spaces
- Acting as a responsible tenant with regards to the property
- Not destroying the owner's property or allowing their guests to do so
- Requiring anyone who visits to behave in a manner that does not disturb the peace
Landlord Compliance with Florida Rental Laws
